The Storyteller

While not as memorable as some of Henson’s other works, The Storyteller is still well written and delivered. Great to watch with your kids.

Alongside "Labyrinth" & "The Dark Crystal"; "The Storyteller" showcases Jim Henson's passion for dark-fantasy aimed for family audiences.

Really great Jim Henson puppet/fantasy show. Definitely aimed a little older demographic than let’s say The Muppets but still okay for kids.

Jim Henson puppeteering is dazxling and John Hurt as the narrator gives the tales such a feeling of gravitas and mystery. Forgotten gem.

Was a great show 4 Hurt, as it made him a true household name! At least 4 a while! Wished it had at least got the occasional rerun in 35 yrs

I remember this from my preschool Era. Seemed we had so much more in terms of stories and imagination.

Bizarre and somewhat upsetting for me as a kid, these puppets have an intangible sadness to them.

The man tells a good story. I’d totally buy him an ale.

Whimsical folktales full of Henson puppetry and charm, endearingly narrated by John Hurt. “The Soldier and Death” is a personal favorite.

Jim Henson gold, I adore these stories. My children were raised on these tales.
