Extremely engaging adaptation. Good acting. High production value. Should have been 4 seasons given the length of the source material.
It felt like it was rushed and the last episode shouldn’t even exists. They cut a lot of good stuff and some of it didn’t even follow.
No point to compare this to the book, but no idea what was this about. Almost nothing about the virus, the struggles, the new society. Meh
It was memorable. Skarsgard was terrifying as ever.
The 1994 version is more faithful to the novel, King wrote the teleplay himself. This one is a reinterpretation with modern visuals & pacing
If I never read the book before starting this show, I would have absolutely no clue what’s going on at all. Complete butchering of the story
Started strong and then lost its way, a deeply underwhelming finish.
Novels focus on macro-level. Series imitates epics where characters are 'types', not real people: good vs. evil is dull when it's generic.
Really wish this hadn't been a mini series. The end comes too quickly and leaves much to be desired. Everything else was so good though.
Couldn't get into this. Big disappoinment.
