Lauren is "not bovvered" when she mistakes the street phrase 'bling bling' for 'bing bing' while talking to her boyfriend Ryan about Beyonce. Margaret gets a nasty fright from her breakfast cereal, and later from her toaster.

Episode 1

Meet Elaine Figgis, a 34-year-old baker's assistant from York, whose fiance is Jeremiah Wainwright III, a cannibalistic multiple murderer from Texas on Death Row, and Paul and Sam, the endearingly thick Essex couple.

Episode 2

Lauren is not "bovvered" when the train conductor tells her it's the last stop and she has to get off. The posh Aga Saga Woman panics when she almost runs out of extra virgin olive oil. Elaine flies to Texas to get married.

Episode 3

Paul and Sam have a 'hilarious' conversation about a friend who has gone on holiday. New parents Ben and Karen have a row when Karen's lack of map-reading skills get them lost. Carole is nasty about street entertainers.

Episode 4

Sandra Graham has managed to successfully combine her high-powered job in the City with her love of the childrens' playground game, Last Hit. Aga Saga Woman Helen is devastated when her husband fails to find Brie in France.

Episode 5

Nasty office worker Catherine challenges Diane to guess how long it took her to drive down to Cornwall. Elaine is interviewed about the news her Death Row husband of five days is about to receive a lethal injection.

Episode 6

Lauren is not impressed by her teacher's dress sense, Nan's television breaks down and Derek Faye is insulted by a doctor.

The Aga Saga Woman is terrified by a Geordie babysitter, Irene & Vern describe their encounter with Desmond Tutu and Nan's visit at the doctor soon turns unpleasant.

Lauren goes to a gym, and wigmakers to the stars Ivan and Trudy are introduced.

Nan meets her grandson's girlfriend, Lauren gets a tattoo of her boyfriend only for him to immediately dump her, and new bride Victoria makes a memorable wedding speech.

Elaine Figgis seeks true love online and Paul Whitehouse turns up as Sam's dad.

Lauren asks her teacher if he's gay. Peter Kay visits Nan and together they render Bridge over Troubled Water.

Nan visits her old friend, Teddy Morris in hospital. Lauren gets a job at a burger bar. Kathleen is delighted when her son reveals he is gay and insists on showing him her new skirt.

EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy guest-stars as a cheerleader after Lauren's boyfriend, policeman Sam Speed is hit by a car and wakes up in a terrifying black and white world of 1951.

Lauren receives a proposal, Nan has a new neighbour from upstairs, and Bernie's brothers and sisters from Ireland are over on a visit.

The protest group Gingers for Justice take to the rooftops. Lauren causes trouble in her science class.

Nan appears on tea-time television. Geordie Georgie's latest money-raising venture is to drum up support for all the little folk in the North-East who suffer from sex addiction.

It's Lauren's wedding day. The ultra-snobby Aga Saga Woman has a disaster with yoghurt. Derek goes for a massage and is offered more than a back rub.
