Tess of the D'Urbervilles

sad. just so, so sad. a well done period piece, of pure misery.

Although grim and bleak, Tess of the D’Ubervilles manages to keep a hopefulness about it- engaging, beautiful story of love, life, and loss.

Depressing and pretty but mostly depressing.

I remember enjoying it and thinking it was pretty, but I honestly don’t remember the plot at all...
