Four turtles fall into the sewers and are befriended by Hamato Yoshi a Japanese man sent to New York who was forced to live in the sewers. One day he sees a strange green glow which transforms the four turtles into human-like creatures. Hamato (now Master Splinter) changes into a giant rat from the green glow and teaches the turtles the skills of the ninja as they team up with news reporter April O'Neil to battle against Yoshi's arch enemy Shredder and Krang, an alien warlord from Dimension X.

Classic 80s cartoon that got tons of kids hooked on the four seminal heroes in a half shell

This show is an absolute blast. Simple and pure fun with good action and goofy one liners. It has memorably great characters and stories.

Cheesy at times, still quite fun and entertaining usually. More for kids

Looking back you can tell a lot of it was made for toys but still a fun show

Embodies some of the best and worst of 80's kids shows

Liked it as a kid but the stories are pretty basic and the animation is very one note. Still iconic, just filled with nostalgia

It’s ok definitely a product of its time. If it wasn’t for the colored mask and signature weapons the turtles could not be told apart

Fine cartoon though not quite up to the enormous hype & popularity achieved in late 80s/early 90s. One day when an R rated version is made.

Never been a fan of TMNT, but this is the best that I've seen of them.

Great cartoon adaptation that is quick, efficient, and fun. Also has one of the all time great television show theme songs.
