Single father George Altman is doing his best to raise his sixteen-year-old daughter Tessa in the big city. When he discovers a box of condoms in her bedroom, though, he decides the time has come to move her to a more wholesome and nurturing environment: the suburbs. But behind the beautiful homes and perfect lawns lurk the Franken-moms, spray tans, nose jobs, and Red Bull-guzzling teens who have nothing in common with Tessa. It’s a whole new world, one that makes George wonder if they haven’t jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Following a dad and daughter trying to eacape the big city life: coming of age influenced story about the trouble of fitting into society
Interesting and funny, but moves a bit slow
If my parent moved me away because of an overreaction like that they’re going in a nursing home…
Exaggerated characters and good satire of suburbia.
Started good but it gets worse as I kept going I stop watching in the middle of the first season so I can't give a full review.
The quality of later seasons completely dropped off. Good premise but they didn't leave room for the characters and story to develop.
It's a short show so I suggest you at least give it a shot. It's not the best but not the worst.
Pretty standard sitcom with some funny moments and characters.
The first season was funny, but the later ones were rather disappointing.
