A limited docuseries exposing the truth beneath the wholesome Americana surface of reality tv’s favorite mega-family, The Duggars, and the radical organization behind them: The Institute in Basic Life Principles. As details of the family and their scandals unfold, we realize they’re part of an insidious, much larger threat already in motion, with democracy itself in peril.

Very interesting, when this came out I thought well, the older kids just have to take care of the younger ones, that’s not fair.
Necessary documentary to expose religious abuse. I’ve always followed the Duggars and I’m so happy for the girls, like Jill, who are free.
I’ll never understand the obsession to the reality show-we watched kids/women/men be repressed-the doc confirmed suspicions and so much more
I’ve NEVER watched those TLC shows but this was extremely intriguing and scary at the same time. I very much recommend it. It’s eye opening!
It’s heartbreaking to find out what those poor children went through. Jim Bob and Michelle are the devil.
So much religious trauma. Yikes! That said, it's a very well made docuseries (both seasons).
Does a good job with pacing, although the subject matter is so interesting, it could have been a PowerPoint and people would still watch.
Christian fundamentalists and child predation go together like peanut butter and jelly.
It was honestly nothing people who watched it didn't know deep down.
This show successfully unmasks the fake smile and hypocritical behind the scenes of a family who needed professional help, NOT a TV show.
