Pimp My Ride is a TV show produced by MTV. Each episode consists of taking one car in poor condition and restoring it, as well as customizing it. The original American version was hosted by rapper Xzibit. Recently, MTV2 has begun airing episodes from Pimp My Ride UK hosted by DJ Tim Westwood, which features cars being customised in the UK, and Pimp My Ride International, featuring cars in central Europe, hosted by hip hop artists Fat Joe and Lil' Jon, as well as the related CMT series Trick My Truck.

Fun to watch for the absurdity of the makeovers. Then you learn they never fix anything wrong with the cars, they just make em look nice.

It’s pretty trash but I watch it to see cool vehicles and well it has them so the trash stuff about it doesn’t bother me.

I loved watching this with my dad as a kid, but tacky is an understatement now

I enjoyed it until I read about how much they removed from the cars after each taping.

Pretty ridiculous, nice time capsule of the 00’s, everything from the editing to the acting.

It' so stupid what the car scene was like in early 2000s. Its just laughably great, don't expect to gain brain cells.

Just plain stupid fun and not much more. Why did we put a ps2 in your trunk? why not. After a few episodes you will have had enough.

Fun idea and Xzibit is charming to a degree, but the show got stale quickly and all the cars are wildly impractical and impossible to insure
