Very nice remake to a cinematic classic brought to life first with Joan Crawford Oscar winning performance & once again by Kate Winslet.
I kind of like it, cause Kate can't fail, but something just feels a bit off. Don't know if it's the focus of the story that wanders a bit.
Not as good as the original film but a beautiful retelling with a star studded cast.
I guess I have to watch the old film version with Joan Crawford now. Kate Winslet basically always delivers. Good job HBO.
This HBO miniseries shows the payoff of hard work despite family dysfunction. A very well make adaption and remake.
