After a plane crash, a group of schoolboys find themselves stranded on a tropical island without adults. Ralph is elected leader and, with the help of the intelligent Piggy, strives to maintain order and civilization. Jack, responsible for the signal fire, becomes increasingly focused on hunting and power struggles. This leads to tensions within the group, gradually pushing the boys from hope and structure into chaos and tragedy.

The young cast is great. My rating is based purely on the use of fish-eye lens which caused nausea and I had to switch off. Needs a warning.

Very good acting by the children, portraying the malice and morbidity of killing and the violence for mere play is very impressive

I don’t understand the hate, thought it was well executed, kids did great job acting. Captures alot of emotion without words.

Did not like this version. It’s kind of a dumbing down of the story. 1970s and 1980s versions are much better.

Cast well. Acted well. Visually pretty but distracting and CGI was real bad at times. Nice score. You know the story, not pleasant.

The yuppie kid acting is off the charts bad.

Fell asleep multiple times.
