Bland masterpiece theater-like adaptation with low-stakes plot, mediocre characters and performances.

4-part limited, British series by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) based on a novel. Very good acting. Awesome scenery, setting, & costumes.

Take as old as time: girl is too poor to marry her rich sweetheart, yada yada. But it's still a lovely story. Great historical romance.

A bit slow, but overall a great drama.
