Gritty, heartfelt look at life in the East End of London in the 1950’s and a group of midwives trying to improve lives of women.
Such a great watch, have been watching since the beginning and the quality hasn't dipped at all, amazing storytelling
This series is so well done, really makes you appreciate life, and what we have today.
I love it at the start but I slowly grew bored of it as characters left the show
Made me want to be a midwife even more. I also loved seeing the change in fashion from the 50s to the 60s.
If you don't normally tear up when you watch things, find a tissue. I love the Turners and Sister Monica Joan and everyone. So good. :)
Good storylines hold this otherwise lightweight historical drama in safe hands.
Awesome show and amazing cast! LOVED IT!
Period piece, drama, likable characters… simply put watch it to calm down after a hectic week.
A period piece that does a great job tackling modern-day issues. All of the characters are wonderful and the show makes you feel good :)
