Jonathan Ames, a young Brooklyn writer, is feeling lost. He's just gone through a painful break-up, thanks in part to his drinking, can't write his second novel, and carouses too much with his magazine editor. Rather than face reality, Jonathan turns instead to his fantasies — moonlighting as a private detective — because he wants to be a hero and a man of action.

Mysteries solved by stoners quite funny m.
Schwartzman is so hypnotizing imo, he creates unpredictable characters because I never know what he's thinking. Fun show with great moments!
Witty and fast paced, I just wish it did not end so abruptly
An amazing, funny film noir/detective story. I wanted more of this!
Great cast, not as funny as you would think given their backgrounds. It’s more interested in it’s mystery aspects
Jason Schwartzman being the worst possible person and making you angry for 30 minutes. I honestly don’t see any redeeming qualities here.
Just not my thing – too much “writer dude” vibes for me.
I get the concept: three oddballs in Manhattan/Brooklyn with a mystery to solve in each episode. Good cast but uninspired material.
Ted, Jason and Zach brought comedy gold in this show. Wish it lasted longer
I feel crazy that more people don’t praise this show. Not for everyone but come ooooonnnnnn!
