Once you get what the film is doing, it all clicks. By the ending you’ll be glad you sat through with its languid pace. Martel is different
The torture of the endless waiting, with an slow pace and an perturbate but beautiful mysticism.
Although really visually appealing, Zama is just tedious and boring. Definitely not Martel's best
Deliberately paced to place you in the shows of the exiled main character. It’s darkly comic, a bit frustrating, but ultimately worth it.
Its slow development may be daring, but it is very rewarding.
