In the Swedish city of Lethe, people from different walks of life take part in a series of short, deadpan vignettes that rush past. Some are just seconds long, none longer than a couple of minutes. A young woman remembers a fantasy honeymoon with a rock guitarist. A man awakes from a dream about bomber planes. A businessman boasts about success while being robbed by a pickpocket, and so on. The absurdist collection is accompanied by Dixieland jazz and similar music.

Really strange, but worth a watch if you like weird and deadpan
One of my all time favorite films. I highly recommend it.
Lyrical film with weird but fascinating characters and their stories. It’s slow and will only work if you are in a certain mood.
It is a msterpiece. Even more fascinating when you know it was all a set and took 7 years to make!
This movie is slow, about nothing, hilarious and somethimes confusing. But that is the point it's about life. It's about people.
Sometimes I did not know if I was supposed to cry or to laugh. An amazing trilogy.
My favorite of Andersson. There’s so much joy for the quirks of humanity on display that I just loved seeing.
A fastidiously composed bleak comedy that's as bizarre as Monty Python, as cruel as Charles Schulz's Peanuts, and entirely compelling.
Beautiful and very funny dreamlike sketches that may or may not get a bit too real sometimes. Worth the watch as in definitely watch it.
50 absurd skits all setting up for one final gag shot of a city about to be bombed. That’s cinema, baby!
