Stephen Fry was made to play Oscar and that’s what really carries this movie. It’s pretty, well paced and gut wrenchingly sad.
good movie that gives you a closer look into the life of one of the best poets, in my opinion. weird pace at first but stabilizes after
Great cast, but poor writing, poor directing… poor everything. Missed occasion to do a great work about a fantastic poet.
I may be biased because I love Oscar Wilde & Alfred Douglass, but I thought it was a wonderful film.
Stephen Fry is exceptionally well-cast as Wilde. Jude Law as his lover is a bit over the top. You can see bite marks in the scenery.
No one has ever been cast as well in a biopic then Stephen Fry in this movie
Didn't think I was going to cry, but I did. I lost it when one of my favorite Oscar Wilde quotes was quoted at the end of the film. ❤️
Stephen Fry portrays Oscar Wilde as a likable and tragic excentric. A look at the double standards of the late Victorian Age.
Mr Fry may have been born to play the part but it just didn't engage me as much as I'd hoped. Still a good drama though.
It was okay Jude Law’s performance was really the only highlight
