This is such a well done movie! Everything from the plot to the actors to the characters and writing were perfect.
I used to rewatch it as a teenager on days when I could use a pick-up. Still love it.

I’d recommend a watch, but replay not so much. I feel EP has an intrinsic awkwardness that makes some scenes rough
pretty sure i watched this high but really good directorial debut by drew barrymore
It's an alright movie and if you're interested, definitely watch it. I thought the relationships between characters were well presented.
this movie is so fun! elliot and alia are both amazing!!
This was a formative film for me when I was at the age where you have to decide whether to fit in or be yourself.
2009 and Barrymore's cinematography is Everything!
Elliot Page is amazing as always. This movie inspired my edgy teenage years.

Set in the changing world of the late 1960s, Susanna Kaysen's prescribed "short rest" from a psychiatrist she had met only once becomes a strange, unknown journey into Alice's Wonderland, where she struggles with the thin line between normal and crazy. Susanna soon realizes how hard it is to get out once she has been committed, and she ultimately has to choose between the world of people who belong inside or the difficult world of reality outside.

Remember that really cute girl/guy who said they'd call – and didn't? Maybe they lost your number. Maybe they're in the hospital. Maybe they're awed by your looks, brains or success. Or maybe... They're just not that into you.
