The music, choreography, and production is great, even if the plot and acting aren't brilliant
Art-not sociology. Not ethnic? Elgort's father is fashion photographer. Hamlet should speak Danish. Kingsley (Indian) is a Jew (Schindler).
It's music is great but the ending is really sad
A gorgeous film with classic songs. Possibly thin on plot but it's Romeo and Juliet and it doesn't need to be complicated.

Who lied to me and said this is Romeo and Juliet? This is just gay flamboyance at its finest. I love it even more.
Beautiful re-telling of Romeo and Juliet with a fantastic performance by Rita Moreno. Ending lacks the tragedy of the Shakespearean version.
