After defeating France and imprisoning Napoleon on Elba, ending two decades of war, Europe is shocked to find Napoleon has escaped and has caused the French Army to defect from the King back to him. The best of the British generals, the Duke of Wellington, beat Napolean's best generals in Spain and Portugal, but now must beat Napoleon himself with an Anglo Allied army.

This movie is impressive for the sheer number of extras onscreen...over 15,000 of them! Great performance by Steiger and Plummer too
Slow at the beginning but picks up and becomes a masterclass in massive battles. Thousands of extras, huge setpieces.
Epic history and war film. Solid choices of which events to cover. The battle scene locations/sets are amazing.
June 18th 1815. Napoleon, that great gambler, throws the dice one last time. At stake in this battle is the fate of Europe.
A true epic. Cinematography is perfect and the shier size of the battle leaves anyone speachless
An amazing accomplishment in the history of film. The battles done with practical effects are astonishing. We shall not see its like again.
An amazing international project that resulted in one of the most impressive battle sequences in cinema history, the scale is just epic
The scale of the battles are amazing, but the historicity is lacking. Napoleon is cast very well, but all the other characters feel shallow.
What Steiger does with his eyes! Plummer’s Wellington 10/10. The BATTLE SCENES ARE JUST PERFECT. I love this film so so much. Watch it now!!
