Probably my favorite performance is Reese Witherspoon. Movie was great though, fun and god I love me some Johnny cash.

Hard to believe Phoenix didn't win an Oscar for his portrayal of Cash. Still the best music biopic to date

Phoenix and Witherspoon represent Cash’s troubled relationship really well. Phoenix in particular gives his all to portray The Man In Black.
This is a textbook music biopic, to the point of feeling cliche at times. The performances elevate it beyond being meh.
Good plot and cast. Kept me intrigued and left me wanting to learn more about the famous singers.
