Incredible. Natalie Portman going crazy is always great.
Portman goes all out in one of her most intimate, deep diving performances in recent memory. Underrated flick.

A very dark take on the American pop star. I wouldn’t want to see this story in any other directors’ hands.
Technically good but was incapable of keeping me engaged... I was bored halfway through and the musical parts were almost unbearable.
Never was able to get behind the idea of pop superstardom stemming from a tragic school shooting. Good performances though

Appreciate it for a unique approach to the “rise to popstardom” formula, and Natalie Portman is exquisite, but the tone is often too harsh.
Tries a bit too hard and just comes off as pretentious. I'm also not sure anyone involved in production has ever seen a real popstar.
Walks a tightrope between artistic and offensive. Bold choices and deft direction really guides this towards the former
