Based on Dangerous Liaisons, scheming lovers play cat and mouse on larger and larger scales. Dramatic period piece with love and deceit.
It looks nice, but the overly dramatic story/acting, paired with pacing that feels like a slog, makes this something you should pass on.
Good movie. Though I prefer "dangerous liaisons" as an adaptation of the book
I only watched this for Colin Firth.
