Really captures “place” really well. It feels like Texas in the 1980s with an awesome soundtrack and a felliniesqe story.
David Byrne is charming and endearing. This film is half rapidfire philosophy and half homespun American mania.
David Byrne’s portrait of Americana is wonderfully quirky and affectionate at the same time
This is one you should watch twice. Once to soak it all in, twice to see if you actually like it
truly one of my favorite movies ever. Something about the way it portrays the weirdness and mundaneness of suburbia gets to me
Wow, what a ride this is. Remember the time Warhol had a cyberpunk migraine? An exquisite movie, naive and pungent.
An audiovisual poem dedicated to Texas blending avant-garde sensibilities, art school visual language and a wonderfully camp aesthetic.
I love David Byrne and Talking Heads, but this is just fine. It’s a nice light watch but feels too fluffy to really stick with me.
One of my favorites. Very wholesome, full of great musical numbers even though it’s partially not a musical. Great for talking heads fans.
Super wholesome and a look through the world with David Byrne. Goodman in this is so sweet.
