The cartoon is legendary, and this has little to nothing to do with what made it special. Tom and Jerry can’t work as feature length films.
Tom and Jerry talk, because it’s the 90s. Not awful but is awkward

The first and last time we heard them talking an that is a pleasing
A garbage musical with shitty songs, shitty characters and utterly disrespects the source material by T&J talking and being friends.
I think Tom & Jerry work better as shorter skits but the movie is still fun for kids.
Seeing these two in a movie length is always a delight, but I have to be in a special mood to tolerate over an hour of slapstick.
