Heartbreaking drama about a former lottery winner and current alcoholic who has burned bridges and returns home, great lead performance
An amazing performance by Andrea Riseborough in a well-written, feel-good redemption film.
Andrea Riseborough and the whole cast, the mood of a tiny Texas town, the country songs, the desperation and regrets of alcoholism
The road to redemption is a long and winding one. This is a definite slow burn, sad and insightful but you feel for the character. Hopeful
Heartfelt and raw; Riseborough delivers a quietly devastating portrait of redemption. Slow watch but definitely worth it.
A decent (if predictable) addict redemption story. Also, my crush on Marc Maron continues to grow.
I don’t love to put myself through this kind of thing on the regular but this one was worth it. Perfect heartbreaker. No notes. get tissues
Just about as heartfelt and raw as you’d expect from a movie with that synopsis. Nothing groundbreaking but you might feel moved.
Sad depiction of alcoholism, kinda feels a bit more cliche as it runs, but ends in a nice place. Oh and a knockout lead performance, damn.
Andrea Riseborough steals the show with her performance as a washed out drunk has been. I was happy to see her again after Mandy.
