Oppressive mood & superb acting were completely satisfying. The deliberate breaking of the fourth wall seemed unnecessary though.
Simple but enjoyable. Drags in some places.
Belief vs. reason, religion vs. science and Florence Pugh vs. the world
Touching adaptation of a period psychological drama. Pugh is amazing; cinematography stunning. Story can be a bit disjointed at times.
Interesting take on the power of delusional faith.
Great cinematography and storyline. But I didn't really like the whole 4th wall break to be honest.
Great setup, Florence is a delight watching. Who is hunting/haunting who?
Really liked this one. Had an A24 feel to it and had some horror elements I didn't expect.
A haunting story about religious fanaticism and scientific skepticism. Visually and emotionally provocative. Great cast.
Very interesting way of telling this story. You can't stop watching. It's not hard to get what's going on, but you want to see where it goes
