I’m in love with Anya Taylor Joy. But yeah 2nd time watching this movie I liked it way more. Robert Eggers is surely a master of his craft.
The Witch captivates with its eerie atmosphere, gripping performances, and chilling narrative. A hauntingly brilliant horror.
Amazing film I believe it is definitely the best horror film of the 2010's.
A near perfect horror mashed up with a near perfect period piece. Exquisite.
Rewatched this movie and sheesh, was I wrong before. This is an incredible horror film. Pulls no punches and creeps you out the entire time.
Slow to start, but when it does it brings evil of biblical proportion, shadowy, baneful, and wicked, like Hereditary + The Exorcist combined
Rarely do you come across period pieces crafted so meticulously. The dark twisted branches of the wood seem to reach out and suffocate us.
Compelling, visually interesting and deeply thematic if perhaps a might bit more artistic than it is functional.
Dark, atmospheric and intriguing, the cinematography and direction is phenomenal, my only gripe is that the story lacks substance, very slow
The lack of a score may put people off. I find that it adds to mysticism and dread of what’s going to happen to this colonial family.
