Dark, atmospheric and intriguing, the cinematography and direction is phenomenal, my only gripe is that the story lacks substance, very slow
I’m in love with Anya Taylor Joy. But yeah 2nd time watching this movie I liked it way more. Robert Eggers is surely a master of his craft.
Compelling, visually interesting and deeply thematic if perhaps a might bit more artistic than it is functional.
This movie is amazing. If you are a fan of things that are psychologically disturbing, this one is definitely for you.
Interesting horror which follows a Puritan family in the 1630’s. Not your typical horror. Good tense atmosphere and intriguing ending.
good movie. anya taylor joy never disappoints
Horrifying and unique period piece that genuinely disturbs.
A horror and psychological film that goes against the usual films. It is special but it has a low rhythm that is not suitable for everyone
Dark, surreal and confusing (in a good way) experience. You're constantly wondering what's real and what's not. It leaves you shivering.
Even more terrifying when you realize the dialogue was taken directly from actual diaries and journals from that time period.
Robert Eggers is a master of building suspense
Incredibly creepy, surprisingly realistic in its portrayal of a colonial peasant family, good cast, good acting, a really compelling watch!
It's amazing how historically accurate Eggers makes his movies and he gets better and better
Nothing truly scary, but great atmosphere and story
It’s definitely creepy. I had to watch it with subtitles to understand the accents.
It's majestic: the symbolism, the story, the actors. It's a true gem.
Film that creates a disturbing atmosphere, the stage, sounds and performances fill you with deep anxiety
Very interesting take on horror. The movie puts you in the mind of a 1630s New England resident. Including the fear of witchcraft.
It got me scared through the whole movie, so I got you. You win by achieving the horror and terrifying me, movie!
Brilliant. Atmospheric and dark. I loved it.
