This is a great little gem a War Drama starring a great actor Cillian Murphy set in Ireland in 1920 and their war v the English
The only movie I know about that covers this area of history and does it really well.
It's a really solid historical flick with some great performances, but others in the genre outshine it handily
Fun fact - My Irish friend has a tradition to watch this every year on St. Patrick’s Day
It’s been a few years so I can’t remember much about this movie, other than the acting being great and the story being interesting but slow
Shows the occupation and oppression of the Irish by the English in the early 1900s, as they do what they must to get back their land.
So touching. The landscapes and the scenery opposing the tragic reality. Watch it!
Hard to watch, painful and fascinating like many others Loach's film about civil wars, anarchy and rebellion. Worth of your time.
A historically accurate movie, about the Irish war of independence. Great movie, you can even learn a Little.
Great story and plot. The cinematography lacks somewhat, though
Might misunderstand the hype on this. Decent action and acting but nothing stuck with me
Very slow and very Irish. Subtitles are a must.
Absolutely devastating. Some of the best representation of revolutions and their inherent complications. Very nuanced and mature.
Brilliant and intense drama, beautifully shot.
Engrossing, nuanced and utterly heartbreaking.
A little slow, but good.
Moving and all around great film
As good as it gets
not bad but definitely not my type
Interesting
