A close examination of the Whakaari / White Island volcanic eruption of 2019 in which 22 lives were lost, the film viscerally recounts a day when ordinary people were called upon to do extraordinary things, placing this tragic event within the larger context of nature, resilience, and the power of our shared humanity.

A heart wrenching story that is somehow, in the end, uplifting and cathartic. Mother Nature is unrelenting but so is the human spirit.
Heartbreaking and shocking. If you don't tear up,you're not a human.
One of the best documentaries I have ever seen. So emotional, showing real footage of what happened. I'm sorry for the losses.
A heart wrenching story that u just can’t look away from.
It was very interesting to learn about this volcano. The moment I saw a minute of it I knew it was perfect for me to watch.
An undeniably gripping event, told from powerful first hand accounts, that may have benefited from a dramatic film approach over a doc. 7/10
An intense and sad story told in a way that will keep on the edge if your seat.
Impressive and sad documentary about a true story of a volcano eruption. Could have been told in 20 minutes though.
The event is tragic but the order of the information and the documentary production could have been improved
Documentary lacks action
