Solid doc. Great music. Compelling journey.
More than just about the band, it sets the tone of the New York art and music scene. And the band kicks ass.
Haynes engages us with the same hypnotic lighting techniques used in UV shows to display a collage of rare footage and biased interviews.
It's a really good movie. I learned alot about the band from this movie
While I enjoyed the storytelling and the interviews and I get what they were going for, I was annoyed by the presentation of the film.
A nice change of pace from your usual documentary format. Very unique and artsy presentation that never quite becomes pretentious.

Learned some stuff but it suffers from the same documentarian circle jerk style of storytelling.
60s counterculture history is interesting but ultimately I'm a philistine who doesn't appreciate their music/art, groundbreaking as it was.
