The whole way through, I wanted it to be good. It had some interesting elements, but lost its soul in an attempt to be avant-garde.
Dunno why, just couldn't get into it. Good visuals and performances though
Helen Mirren is fantastic but everything else feels bland.
The Tempest is a difficult play even if done conventionally. Creating an experimental film of an experiment just doesn't work.
Shakespeare on drugs. It’s too busy as a production, which takes away from the dialogue. But it’s not crazy enough to make up for that.
It couldn’t have been more boring.
