This film is one of my favourites and affected me so much set in Iran and starring Jim Cavaziel its powerful and heartbreaking and true.
Difficult watch shows the circumstances leading to the titular event. It’s a brutal true horror story that feels out of the Handmaid’s Tale.
Dark, with some tonal inconsistencies. I wasn't a fan of the story, which turned into an islamophobic manifesto in the end.
Now, nowhere in Iran is like the movie's location and its a long time that stoning is not done. Movie should notice that its about old Iran
Very hard to watch, but shares a difficult story, which impacts you the more you think of it. Some images have been burned into my brain.
Not easy to watch, but still amazing
