The Savages

A sad family film that deserves attention

Fantastically written and acted character-based dramedy about siblings trying to find a nursing home for their estranged father

Philip Seymour Hoffman is a gem and it really pains me that he was taken from us way too soon.

Really interesting, terrifically strong cast and plausible storyline.

Two standout central performances in a slow moving but deliberate, mature drama

Hoffman and Linney deliver riveting performances in this painful and funny dramedy about senior living.

Was good, (a very American film, kinda vibe. I think)

A slow burner that meanders its way through a simple plot but there is some heart and funny moments alongside a great PSH performance

Not gripping but a thoughtful look at the Savage family. The characters are simple in their complexity—in a way that is almost comforting.
