Rachel Dolezal became infamous when she was unmasked as a white woman passing for black so thoroughly that she had become the head of her local N.A.A.C.P. chapter. This portrait cuts through the very public controversy to reveal Dolezal’s motivations.

Very interesting documentary. Was shocking and enlightening. Makes you really think about how the human brain works. Got me hooked.
Surprisingly compelling, made me dislike her even more but also understand her point of view slightly.
I went into this with an open mind, but she is one of the most entitled people I’ve ever seen and it just made me feel horrible for her kids
Definitely puts some identity disorders into perspective. Her history is one I'd want to disassociate with as well.
Idk how a feel about it, still... It's a sad and wild story, but also enraging...on the other hand you try to sympathize with her somehow...
Insightful - Gives background on Dolezal’s life in an attempt to explain her actions, but stays balanced and does not justify any of it
Very strange concept and it dragged on a little too much
You somewhat understand her point of view she’s still weird as fuck and I still don’t agree but you feel her pain somewhat
An interesting take on a controversial person. I think it’s recommended viewing. Do not judge a book by its cover
I mean wow that lady. Fascinating documentary, let’s you know the person better.
