Vietnam pre-American war. Shows clueless American do-gooder while Caine plays worldly Brit who knows corrupt societies don't want democracy.
Solid drama proving Fraser always had more range than people credited him with. Caine’s thoughtful, award-nominated turn really sells this.
Michael Caine is absolutely brilliant in this. Brendan Fraser is pretty good too.
Engaging and interesting, with more twists than anticipated.
A good story with nice twists and turns. Good chemistry between Frazier and Cain
"It's not easy to remain uninvolved". Fraser is quite good here, but Caine shines and makes it worth watching.
Dark, chilling, and an opportunity to truly see Brendan Fraser do some of his finest work.
Great acting from both leads. I appreciate the snub of idealism for sensibility.
