Kept me engaged all the way through. Everyone did fantastic. But what I’m REALLY hoping for this movie is Sam L. Jackson gets an Oscar.
Besides the Oscar-ready performances the narrative feels a bit long and dragged.Can't hold a candle to Wilson's original.
It’s well made + Danielle & SLJ are excellent, but it gets boring & I didn’t care for JDW’s acting. Worth a try if you liked Fences or MRBB!
Another dang production of August Wilson. Too bad you can't see Charles Dutton. The same with 'Fences'. Denzel no match for James E. Jones.
This is definitely going to be a hidden gem. Such good cast, and the story line was great. I also loved the soundtrack and music choices
A well acted drama with a touch of horror. A slow burn but captivating. Enjoyable watch.
The weight of family tragedy and legacy. Sometimes it’s better to let go, but sometimes the weight is what carries you.
