Wonderful, forgotten conspiracy thriller. If you've enjoyed All The President's Men, you'll love this (both directed by Alan Pakula)
A plot considered implausible when released, today this film about programming people to assassinate politicians is very real and scarier.
Mostly an effective thriller, but towards the end it feels like the arty cinematography is eating the movie, which left me disappointed.
A solid conspiracy thriller with a hefty dose of paranoid atmosphere and a winning performance from Beatty.
Great tension in the first and last half but the middle part struggles to hold interest. Chilling ending.
Started out pretty good but drifting into slow confusion towards the end. Don’t think Beatty wanted to mess up his hair!!
First 50 min are great. But after that it's just... Ehhhh. Also Beatty was dry. He looked like someone forced him to be there or something.
Beatty just isn’t that compelling as a lead here. The plot is ridiculous, and the ending is unsatisfying. There’s some decent atmosphere.
The suspense created during the last 30 minutes is very enjoyable, but there isn't a huge amount that would entice me to re-watch.
The first half is super engaging and punchy, but it slowly falls off. Still a great over looked political thriller
