snow and the feelings it brings, trembling trees, high level acting, an acting that does not waste even a very full moment.
Melling as Poe was amazing, the story was engaging and the plot twist was fun. A real love letter to the macabre spirit of Poe’s writing.

Except for a few glaring plot holes, a pretty solid artistic mystery detective movie, great casting, great atmosphere and decent twists.

Very well done. Well told story, with excellent acting. Wasn’t too vague, wasn’t too predictable. Dark, and highly recommended.
I found it to be a very engaging, although slow, mystery. Acting was great from Bale and Melling. Also enjoyed the twist - great ending.
