Short, intense Western. local ranchers catch suspect outsiders. With little evidence serve as judge & jury. Riveting parable about justice.
Tough drama on mob mentality and lynching with no heroes. It’s a classic, but for obvious reasons wasn’t a smash hit in its day.
Well acted, particularly by Fonda. Actually a rather dark theme for a western of the era.
Slow, older western. Pretty generic but if you like older westerns, you’ll like it.
