Catherine Tate's iconic character Nan hits the big screen as she goes on a wild road trip from London to Ireland with her grandson Jamie to make amends with her estranged sister Nell. Militant vegan arsonists, raucous rugby teams, all night raves and crazed cops on motorbikes all make for a proper day out. An origin story that mixes Nan's present with her past where we finally find out what's made her the cantankerous old bastard she is today.

So funny and heartwarming. Loved the bit where nan became a terrorist xx

This was as good as this could have been. The back story was lovely between all the gags. Gave something new to Nan without it being stale.

Stick to the tv series… this was aweful. Tamed down to not offend any1 , such a shame .

The flashbacks and backstory were very well done. The film had some great moments. Sadly, most of the film was corny. Not great.

I was hoping for more the older nan! Bit more crude!

Boring. Not true to the NAN character. Too PC

Really enjoyed it. Well worth a watch. Nan was a little toned down to how she was originally, though but that’s to be expected these days.
