The Naked Spur

A fine old Western, but my least favorite of the Mann collabs. Personally always felt Ryan was a bland presence. And the climax underwhelms.

Dated at times but still really entertaining and well paced- action packed with engaging character dynamics and a beautiful ending.

The ending to this film is poignant. The characters are also unique, they all have stories to tell and they intertwine perfectly.

It’s interesting to see such a dark story in bright technicolor. Stewart is intense, Ryan is ultimate evil, and the ending is poignant.
