The Katakuri family has just opened their guest house in the mountains. Unfortunately their first guest commits suicide and in order to avoid trouble they decide to bury him in the backyard. Things get way more complicated when their second guest, a famous sumo wrestler, dies while having sex with his underage girlfriend and the grave behind the house starts to fill up more and more.

This film is unique, insane, and a lot of fun.
Takashi Miike is a visionary, a truly unique film
probably the most Takashi Miike film, Takashi Miike has ever made
They've done the whole 'weird but good' perfectly in this. Made me laugh throughout. You just know that it's not meant to be taken seriously
Has the energy of a looney tunes cartoon but is really rough around the edges and becomes repetitive. Beyond absurd, pretty fun throughout.
An absolutely batshit insane musical comedy, not miike’s best work but certainly more than checking out for a good laugh
A good movie with puppets and stuff. It is better to watch in the right mood
One of my favorite horror musicals. Takashi Miike's best film imo.
A psychedelic romp that will have your head spinning with its abundance of incongruous beat changes. Silly in the best way and loads of fun
Takashi Miike's movies don't always land for me but I really enjoyed this one. Probably partially due to my fondness for musicals.
