In a quiet suburban town in the summer of 1958, two recently orphaned sisters are placed in the care of their mentally unstable Aunt Ruth. But Ruth's depraved sense of discipline will soon lead to unspeakable acts of abuse and torture that involve her young sons, the neighborhood children, and one 12-year-old boy whose life will be changed forever.

A “good” movie in the sense that it made me hate everyone I was supposed to. Leaves you with a pit in your stomach.
Wow… this movie will tug at you for sure. Good plot but some of the scenes make me sick.
I’m horribly disturbed still. This story is a tragedy, based on true events. Silver lining; it shows human nature in all of its inadequacy.
Very disturbing but not accurate. "An American crime" is more true to the story.
Holy shit this is one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen. They had some serious balls to show what they did.
one of those 'fucked up' movies, made me say 'what the fuck' multiple times while watching.
Pure garbage. It has the subtleness of a 70s B movie and the cheap melodrama of a Lifetime TV movie. It felt exploitative and insensitive
Just sad torture porn. Watch An American Crime if you want the real story.
Holy ducking shit. Who let me watch this movie at 10 years old. Till this day I remember this movie. This gave me nightmares.
Hard to call this film “good”. It isn’t light by any stretch of the imagination. Awful to think of how many stories there are like this.
