Despite Oliver Stone putting his twist on the actual career of The Doors, Val Kilmer’s portrayal of Morrison is worth watching alone.
It’s a wild ride with great music, and Val Kilmer is fantastic as Jim—even if it’s an exaggerated & incomplete portrayal.
Great performance and a great story about a great band
A loose retelling of Jim's life and death as a Door. The acting's top notch, but portrays Jim as if he was a violent person. It's okay.

Pretty good. I wish it had focused more on the actual band instead of derivative drug sequences. However the best part far & away was Kilmer
A bit longwinded and not very interesting. The film is less about the band and more about Jim who is portrayed as a drunken fool.

Val Kilmer was incredible. Great overall movie but did have a lot more potential.
