Allen's character is basically the villain of the film. Gary Oldman's is the hero. She has no morals and backs horrendous policies
I love political thrillers, so I had to give this one a watch. It’s fine. Somewhat contrived, but I enjoyed the ride.

Vice-presidential candidate at risk over sex scandal. A debate over political ethics than a movie. Jeff doesn't make a good president.
Joan Allen is great, but I remember the political plot being too simple, devolving into basic Hollywood cheese-product.
Standard Hollywood mass production stuff, some suspense to entertain us but nothing more. What you see is what you get
