Creepy movie with great atmosphere. One of the best portrayals of Lovecraft
It’s a Fulci film which means it has cheesy acting, a quirky soundtrack, and lots of fake blood. It also means it’s silly, gory fun.
A bit too much like porn in the ways you wouldn't expect.
The middle entry in the Gates Of Hell trilogy is my favorite. It has a really good story behind it while being brutal yet a lot of fun.
Considered Fulci's masterpiece, the film is both beautifully shot and gory. The ending is worth watching for alone.

In The Beyond, Fulci utilizes his American setting (through an Italian perspective) to create something surreal and unnerving. A classic.
