I used to love this movie as a kid. I remember watching it with my mum and laughing. It is a bit dumb, but it's ok.
I wasn't a fan of the series and this isn't a send up, but just a movie version. Not for me.
A decent family comedy that I still catch on TV mostly for nostalgia
Jim Varney is great as always but the rest of the cast lacks his charm. Some fine parts to the film but lacks anything else.

Country girl Rebecca has spent most of her life on a farm in South Dakota, and, when she goes away to college in Los Angeles, Rebecca immediately feels out of place in the daunting urban setting.
