The Band Wagon

One of Fred Astaire’s best musicals. The World is a Stage, The Stage is a World of Entertainment! So many great songs and dance sequences.

I’m a sucker for musicals but this one isn’t one I would recommend to the average person.

I found it more appealing this second time. The musical numbers are wonderful.

Charisse danced her butt off and won you over. Liked the baby number and the noir. Astaire is classic. Didn’t need them to fall in love.

You’ll love this if you’re a musical theater person, you probably won’t if you’re not.

A truly wonderful musical with excellent dancing from the immensely talented duo of Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse. A must-see!

The plot isn’t quite all there, but the musical numbers make this a fun watch
