This is a very good western and Bill Pullman gives a great performance. If you are a fan of the genre, then this one is for you.
A slow moving western with earnest characters taking place in a complex and captivating plot shot in the beautiful scenery of 1800s Montana.
A sort of dark, almost satirical postmodern western, that takes a good look at the largely unexplored but common sidekick character.
Love that they took the Western trope of side-kicks and made one the hero. Pullman delivers a career-best performance as him. Great film.
Uneven at times but still an intelligent, sweeping western with great direction, a powerful performance from Pullman, and important themes.
Slow burn western with great characters
Honestly one of the best Westerns I've seen in years
Pullman gives a great performance that pays homage to the trusty sidekick character
The writing of the villainy is too obviously on the nose. Pullman isn’t a strong enough lead to sell this for me.
Good western revenge thriller, worth seeing
