Jack Slavin is an environmentalist with a heart condition who lives with his daughter, Rose, on an isolated island. While Jack fights against developers who wish to build in the area, he also craves more contact with other people. When he invites his girlfriend, Kathleen, and her sons, Rodney and Thaddius, to move in, Rose is upset. The complicated family dynamics makes things difficult for everyone in the house.

Sometimes a film can be so uncomfortable that it makes me feel like a prude. The incestuous undertone put it into that space for me.

Disturbing theme, slow pace, good performances, great ending

To no ones surprise Day-Lewis is great. the film just felt kinda lost & i don't really know what the message it was trying to get across was

Day-Lewis is superb as usual but the story lacks what's needed to be a great film. Always great to see young actors keep up with DDL.

Did anybody see this? Hippy DDL and daughter were left after island commune ended. A web of desire and confusion.
